   introducing ross

Our status as a world-class organics recycler is enhanced by new process improvements on a massive scale. At the heart of this is ROSS—our $3 million, state-of-the-art composting and screening system at Buckland Park. Click here to see a video of ROSS in action.

   sa's fastest rooftop garden

While standing in the queue of Adelaide Zoo, you may not realise that SA’s largest rooftop garden is right above your head. The Jeffries Express Blower, a unique vehicle that stores and spreads Jeffries products for many hard-to-access sites, quickly and easily got hundreds of tonnes of soil and mulch to the rooftop space.

taking care of a whole vineyard

Biodynamic farming focuses on creating naturally fertile soils, using compost to promote growth of both vines and cover crops. Jeffries' custom blending service creates just the right mix for biodynamic vineyard, Paxton Wines. Daniel Lavrencic, Paxton’s Vineyard Manager, says he's glad to have a local supplier who focuses on their long-term goals (and lets him play with the compost).

helping people see in the dark

For second-generation market gardener, Carmine Di Fava, the soil-conditioning properties of Jeffries Organic Compost deliver a great return on investment. Compost adds vital organic matter to the soil, improves nutrient and water use, and stops the ground ‘crusting’ on hot summer days. This makes life a lot easier for his delicate seedlings to emerge and grow into big, juicy carrots.

One of the things I like most about our business is that there are so many opportunities to consider something new.

Sometimes this means developing a completely new idea for aerating compost…
and sometimes it involves developing a company e-newsletter.

Whether you recycle organics with us, use our products, or are one of our many government, community, media and business stakeholders,
we hope that ‘From the Ground Up’ helps you understand us, our process and our products just that bit better.
